Ga'Hoole Stamp

This doesn't mean I didn't like the movie, it just means I liked the books more

I personally consider the books completely canon, and they changed so much in the movie that it brought my appreciation for the movie down :c

This goes for any book that has a movie, if you loved the movie you should read the books
